Sinopec builds ethylene plant model pyrolysis furnace

In order to build a world-class ethylene plant, China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation has established a cracking furnace as a model furnace at Yangzi Petrochemical Company and Maoming Petrochemical Company based on the advanced cracking furnace standards in foreign countries, implementing energy-saving reforms, while achieving the desired energy saving goals. It will provide a reference model for the reform of cracking furnaces of Sinopec. On February 9th, the reform of the model furnace of the ethylene plant of Yangzi Petrochemical was formally started. It is planned to be handed in on April 30th, and the material will be driven in early May.
Ethylene plant is a large energy consumer, in which the energy consumption of ethylene cracking furnace accounts for more than 70% of the energy consumption of the entire ethylene plant, which has a significant impact on the economic and technical indicators of the plant. At present, there is a clear gap between domestic ethylene energy consumption levels and foreign advanced levels. In order to achieve the advanced level of similar foreign devices, Sinopec decided to implement the ethylene plant prototype reform project. The model furnace of Yangzi Petrochemical is No. 01 cracking furnace in Ethylene New Area. The cracking furnace is a light oil furnace and the design raw materials are naphtha and light naphtha. Due to the constraints of engineering design, furnace tube material and other conditions, at present, the actual investment amount of the furnace is 90% of the original design capacity, thermal efficiency is only 93%, and the operation cycle is only about 40 days, and the refractories of the radiant section are aged and lose heat. Larger, the original fan used in the original design consumes more energy.
To this end, Sinopec plans to invest 30 million yuan, using a number of advanced energy-saving technologies and energy-saving materials, the model furnace implementation of energy-saving transformation, including frequency control technology, furnace heat transfer enhancement technology, a new type of insulation materials. According to the plan, the naphtha treatment capacity of the model furnace after reform will be greatly improved, the thermal efficiency will reach 95%, and the operation cycle will reach 80 days or more.
